Police in Medford, Oregon, say an 85-year-old female resident of an adult foster care home was smashed in the face with a brick and choked before a passer-by intervened to help her. Police arrested a 65-year-old man who also lives at the home.

The Oregon State Police say they have arrested a Lynnwood, Washington man accused of trying to kill a hitchhiker. 56-year old Samuel Strom allegedly picked up 28-year old Daniel Guau from Quebec City, Quebec Saturday, while he was walking along Highway 101. Guau says Strom pulled a knife on him and placed it against his throat. Strom robbed Guau and slashed him.Read More »

Medford Man Fends Off Would-Be Attackers, Documents On YouTube

A Medford man successfully defeated two homeless men who tried to attack him Sunday morning. 35-year old John "Brandon" Shawnego made a video and posted it to YouTube of the fight's outcome. Shawnego was walking to church when 22-year old Cameron Manning asked him for a cigarette. When he said he didn't have any, Manning reportedly began yelling at Shawnego.Read More »
