Fewer Working In Southern Oregon During January

Oregon Announces 2014 Workplace Fatalities

According to a report just released by the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, 31 Oregonians died on the job in 2014, one more than the year before. State and local government saw the largest concentration with five fatalities, and the agricultural sector- which includes logging- experienced four on the job deaths.Read More »

MADGE Busts Illegal Pot Grow

The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement arrested a man for an allegedly illegal marijuana grow. Officers found 181 pot plants and scales at the home of 32-year old Darrick Stewart Roach in the 400 block of Charlotte Ann Road. The residence was not a medical marijuana grow site. The investigation continues to locate others who may have been involved.

Inert Grenade Found In School Locker

Two middle school students- boys age 12 and 13- face disorderly conduct charges after an inert grenade was found in a student’s locker at White Mountain Middle School Monday. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department was alerted concerning the device at 11:36 a.m. The school was evacuated, and the students sent to Table Rock Elementary. The OSP bomb squad took possession of the grenade.Read More »
