Norovirus Sickens Staff At Doernbecher's Hospital

Health officials are investigating after an outbreak of norovirus at a Portland hospital sickened more than 30 people working in the pediatric intensive-care unit.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/KbxL18 ) that no patients were sickened at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, but a number of nurses, doctors and staff members fell ill.

Beaverton Officer Wounded Responding To Domestic Call

Beaverton police say an officer was shot Wednesday while responding to a domestic disturbance call at a trailer park.

Officer Mike Rowe identified the wounded officer as 47-year-old Scott Burke. He was in serious, but stable condition at a hospital.
