Wednesday Morning Earthquake Off Oregon Coast

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake was recorded Wednesday morning in the Pacific Ocean about 125 miles west of Bandon on the south Oregon Coast. The Bandon police department said there were no immediate reports of shaking or damage. The quake was at 8:30 a.m. The U.S. Geological Survey website said it was at a depth of more than 6 miles.

Earthquake Rumbles Off Oregon Coast

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 has been recorded off the Oregon coast but there were no reports of it causing damage or being felt. The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., says the quake hit Thursday evening. It was centered about 240 miles west-northwest of Coos Bay, Oregon, at a depth of 6 miles.

Mild Earthquake Felt Near Portland
