Women Entrepreneurs Networking Share

Discover the variety of entrepreneurs in the Rogue Valley by attending a special trade fair of business owners on March 11th, hosted by Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon (WESO) and held in the upstairs ballroom of the Red Lion Inn in Medford. The event starts at 5:00 pm and exhibitors will be available until 8:00 pm. This annual WESO program offers a great venue for local business owners to share what they have to offer as well as network with other successful business people. Grants Pass HS Theater Arts Department presents “And Then There Were None”, a classic, spine tingling murder mystery by Agatha Christie, the plot of which is woven around a nursery rhyme.

The annual Father/Daughter camp for dads and their younger daughters (grades K-5) will be held Friday March 12th - Sunday March 14th at Mountain Lakes Bible Camp, which is situated between Medford and Klamath Falls off Highway 140. The camp starts Friday at 7pm and ends Sunday at noon.

The American Red Cross is holding training on Bloodborne Pathogens: Preventing Disease Transmission, on Friday March 19th between 9am and 11am at the American Red Cross office at 60 Hawthorne Street in Medford.
The course will discuss what the intent of the bloodborne pathogens regulations are by OSHA. By passing the written test, you will receive a Preventing Disease Transmission certificate. The fee for this class is $30, and pre-registration is required.

Rogue Valley Family YMCA, 522 W. Sixth St., Medford, offers spring break camps from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 22-26 and March 29-April 2, at a location yet to be announced. Kids in kindergarten through sixth grade can attend sessions that include art, games, outdoor education, science and drama. A field trip will be scheduled on Wednesday of each week. Medford Parks & Recreation offers a spring break camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, March 22-26 and Monday, March 29, at Santo Community Center, 701 N. Columbus Ave., Medford. Kids 4-12 can attend sessions that include games, crafts, gym sports, jump houses and other activities. The cost is $79 for residents, $85 for others. Scott is a Sergeant in the Oregon National Guard and Jennifer is a mother of three little ones. Scott is very sick with a strange neurological disease which appears untreatable, and faces being released from the Oregon National Guard during March.
Organizers of the event are accepting cash contributions and meal support pledges, and they need people to help in the staging of the event, to organize and price items, and to be present at times during the week before the event to receive the items.

Oregon State University Extension Service’s Master Gardener Program presents Bonnie Bayard, Landscape Architect teaching an evening class on Designing a Flower Bed.
The class takes place on Thursday May 13th from 7pm to 9pm at the OSU Extension Center, 569 Hanley Road in Central Point.
Among the subjects covered will be how to put plants together to create a pleasing design, and planning in design using the Sunset Western Garden Book. Bring large cuttings of flower bed plants you already have, and a copy of the Sunset Western Garden book if you have one. This class qualifies for Master Gardener Re-certification.

The 2010 edition of the Hugo & Three Pines School Reunion will be held on Sat. July 17, 2010 at the Indian Mary Park Picnic Shelter located about 10-12 miles West of I-5 at exit 61, the Merlin exit.. No preregistration is required, and on site registration will start at 11 AM with the “potluck to share” commencing now later than 1 PM.
The nominal fee to help defray our fixed costs is as follows: $5/single; $7.50/couple, and $10/family. Additionally the County charges a $2/car day use parking fee.

Churches and Para-church ministries from all over the Rogue Valley will be participating and taking part in the leadership and execution of this event. We will have several worship teams involved including a worship dance team, many pastors from various denominations will be contributing and many businesses from the community have stepped up in support. Church Expansion Fundraising Firewood Sale
