Discover the variety of entrepreneurs in the Rogue Valley by attending a special trade fair of business owners on March 11th, hosted by Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon (WESO) and held in the upstairs ballroom of the Red Lion Inn in Medford. The event starts at 5:00 pm and exhibitors will be available until 8:00 pm. This annual WESO program offers a great venue for local business owners to share what they have to offer as well as network with other successful business people. Grants Pass HS Theater Arts Department presents “And Then There Were None”, a classic, spine tingling murder mystery by Agatha Christie, the plot of which is woven around a nursery rhyme.

The performances are on Friday March 12th and Saturday March 13th at 7.30pm, and take place at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center. The American Red Cross is holding training on Bloodborne Pathogens: Preventing Disease Transmission, on Friday March 19th between 9am and 11am at the American Red Cross office at 60 Hawthorne Street in Medford.

Medford

Rogue Valley Family YMCA, 522 W. Sixth St., Medford, offers spring break camps from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 22-26 and March 29-April 2, at a location yet to be announced. Kids in kindergarten through sixth grade can attend sessions that include art, games, outdoor education, science and drama. A field trip will be scheduled on Wednesday of each week. Medford Parks & Recreation offers a spring break camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, March 22-26 and Monday, March 29, at Santo Community Center, 701 N. Columbus Ave., Medford. Kids 4-12 can attend sessions that include games, crafts, gym sports, jump houses and other activities. The cost is $79 for residents, $85 for others. For $10 extra, parents can extend hours to as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 6 p.m. Camps are staffed by trained recreation leaders, and the session is divided into three age groups. When a family was just starting out with nothing, or having just experienced great calamity, the community of faith would rally together their resources of time, effort and provision to assist one another in time of need.

This Christian virtue will continue on Saturday April 3rd at a a warehouse at 520 Rossanley Road - on the corner of Sage and Rossanley in Medford - to assist a family amongst us in great need.

Scott is a Sergeant in the Oregon National Guard and Jennifer is a mother of three little ones. Scott is very sick with a strange neurological disease which appears untreatable, and faces being released from the Oregon National Guard during March.

Organizers of the event are accepting cash contributions and meal support pledges, and they need people to help in the staging of the event, to organize and price items, and to be present at times during the week before the event to receive the items.

SOPEX 2010, the annual stamp show and bourse of the Southern Oregon Philatelic Society, will be held on Saturday April 10th and Sunday April 11th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds and Expo in Central Point.

SOPEX will be open from 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday and will feature stamp dealers both buying and selling stamps, covers and postcards, as well as being available to appraise and buy collections.

There will be door prizes, free stamps and information for beginners, as well as the chance to vote for your favorite exhibit to win the Most Popular Award.
