Food & Friends/Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed - Jackson County Sun 30th August - Wed 30th September Food & Friends, the local Meals on Wheels program, is looking for volunteers to help deliver meals to home-bound seniors in Jackson County. Food & Friends provides hot, nutritious meals and a friendly visit to hundreds of seniors in the area. Meals are served Monday through Friday, between 10:00 am and noon. Recorder, listen and learn - Talent Tue 1st September An all-ages, all-skills Recorder Group of Talent will be getting together to play music and have fun on Tuesdays, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, in the Talent Library, 101 Home St. This will be an informal gathering of musicians with varied experience on the Recorder. Simplified Tai Chi - Medford Library Tue 1st September Simplified Tai Chi for all ages will be offered every Tuesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Medford Library Large Meeting Room, 205 S. Central Ave. This special eight-step Tai Chi form has been researched and designed specifically for better balance and ease of movement. Origami: the Art of Paper folding - Ashland Branch Library Sun 20th September Origami sessions will be held on the third Sunday of every month, 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm at the Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. Adults and children 5 years and up will learn the art of taking a two-dimensional piece of paper and turning it into a three-dimensional piece of art. No experience is needed. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.

Mental Health Awareness & Fundraising Event - Medford Sat 26th September National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Southern Oregon is having their annual March4Hope on Saturday, September 26. This march at the Commons II in downtown Medford will benefit Southern Oregonians through NAMI programs including support, education and advocacy.
