Josephine County Fugitive Caught

A man who crashed into an innocent motorist while fleeing police was caught this morning and taken into custody. The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety says they found and stopped 30-year old Jeremy Douglas McGhee at 3:35 a.m. and arrested him in the area of Cloverlawn Drive and Ponderosa Lane. An investigation into an assault in Cave Junction Tuesday led to the discovery and arrest of a wanted fugitive. 37-year Jeffrey Jordan Mathes was using a fake name, but fingerprinting revealed his true identity. He was wanted on warrants from the U.S. Marshal’s Service, California and Nevada for drug-related crimes and parole violation warrants out of Colorado and Nevada.
