13 motorists were arrested for drunk driving during the Thanksgiving holiday according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies joined with the Oregon State Police and city police departments around southern Oregon in saturation patrols. Jackson County Undersheriff Countryman To Retire

After 40 years in law enforcement, Jackson County Undersheriff Rod Countryman is retiring. He has served as the sheriff’s department second in command since 2006. Countryman’s career began in 1972 in Nevada. During his time there, he served in both the criminal and corrections divisions on law enforcement. In 1985, Countryman attended the 142nd session of the FBI national academy.Read More »

Jackson County Sheriff's Office Planning Move

The Jackson County Sheriff’s office will begin its move to 5179 Crater Lake Highway next Thursday. The current office will remain open throughout the move; however there will be no fingerprinting or processing of concealed handgun licenses May 9-11.
