County Search Team Joins In Hunt For Missing Medford Man

Jackson County Search and Rescue is joining in the search for an eldrly Medford man with Alzheimer's Disease. 81-year old George Gerald Watters has been missing since Sunday morning. Watters' wife reported him missing at 9:30 a.m. She had last seen hime two hours earlier. She also reported the couple's car was gone as well, a Navy Blue Buick LeSabre with Oregon license plate WRV 538. After the public was notified, the Medford Police say Watters had been seen at 11 a.m. at the Skinner Autoplex on South Pacific Highway. He seemed confused as to what town he was in, and was asking directions to the "Church Academy." This morning, it is reported that there was a sighting of Watters and his vehicle in the Applegate Dam area around 3:30 p.m. The attached photo of Watters was taken by the DMV on Febuary 19th. Mr. Watters stands 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
