Ashland Fire Burn
Smoke will be visible today as a controlled burn will take place south of Lithia Park. The 20-acre burn will close trails in the area for 3-days and is designed to reduce wildfire danger. The burn is part of a network of zones in the watershed area bounded by city, forest service, and private lands.
Similar burns have been held since 1994 to protect homes, water quality, and plant and animals in the area.
