Child Vaccination Rates Down In Oregon
More parents in Oregon are choosing not to have their children vaccinated against diseases. The trend has been rising for a dozen years and KATU reports kindergarteners this school year had a religious exemption for at least one vaccine.
That's a concern for health officials watching a whooping cough
epidemic in Washington where more than 1,000 cases have been
reported this year. Oregon has had 156 cases of whooping cough
reported this year.
Oregon parents can sign a form and send their kids to schools
without all of their vaccines.
