DNA Evidence Links Suspect to Two Year Burglary Case
Thanks to DNA evidence collected from a drinking straw found in an energy drink can found at the crime scene, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reports they have solved a 2-year old burglary case. 42-year old Molly Jane Williams of Rogue River faces charges related to a break-in back in March of 2010 at a residence on Brownsboro Meridian Road in Eagle Point. Williams is in custody on a variety of charges stemming from burglaries from 2010 to 2012.
Authorities say the DNA was collected from a straw in an energy drink can left behind by the suspect while committing the break-in. The probability of the match is one in 10 billion.
