Rescue Training Exercises

The 6th annual California Oregon Regional Search and Rescue Summer Exercise” is underway today. It’s being hosted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for the next four days. 12 agencies are participating in helicopter demonstrations, mock searches, map and compass techniques, plus more. The aim of what is also known as COSAR Summer X is to provide better regional communication and public assistance during lengthy searches.
