Three women credited with saving the life of a friend and heart attack victim during a May 17th church service will receive a Citizen Recognition Award. The honor will be handed down tomorrow (Thursday) at 4 p.m.

Medford Fire officials say the trio’s quick actions that morning and having an Automated External Defibrillator at Mountain Christian Fellowship of Medford helped save the victim’s life. When emergency workers arrived within three minutes of the call, the victim was conscious and able to answer questions.

Medford Fire and Rescue says it’s the second time life-saving CPR has been performed on a person needing it, and it once again illustrates the value of knowing how to perform CPR in an emergency.
