Existing Home Sales Rise, So Does Median Price in Jackson County
The median price of an existing home and sales of existing home sales increased in Jackson County. The report for the 3-month period running from April 1 through June 30, 2012 was released today by the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors.
The county-wide median sales price increased from $147,500 to $163,500 when comparing 2012 to 2011. The number of existing homes sold increased to 571 from 525 the year before- an increase of 8.8%.
Some other number of note, the average number of days a home is on the market is falling from 99 days to 73. Normal transactions made up 48.9% of the sales total, REO or bank owned properties accounted for 34.2%, and short sales made up the remaining 16.8%.
