Home Building Construction on the Rise

Home-builder confidence in the United States is up to a five year high. Sales of new homes are expected to strengthen this year across the nation.

 

Locally you might have noticed a steady trend of large construction projects throughout Southern Oregon. Adroit Construction now has work continuing on a dorm on the Southern Oregon University campus, as well as downtown at the Lithia headquarters. CEO Bob Mayers says optimism on the construction in the home market is also reflected in the larger projects as well.

Mayers says when home interest rates fall, the same is for commercial projects which allow business owners to refinance and infuse more money into their business.
