Oregon Second District Congressman Greg Walden (see also video below) announces that the Veteran's Administration has agreed to upgrade the Grants Pass Health Center, which expands services to some 11,000 veterans in Josephine County. The effect of the move will end veterans needing to travel to White City or Roseburg for routine care.
In a press release from Rep. Walden's office, they explained that the congressman met sent a letter to V.A. Secretary Eric Shinseki in April and followed up with a visit to designate the clinic as a community-based outpatient clinic to serve additional veterans.
