Southern Oregon Closing In On Weather Record
While the rest of the United States is sweltering, southern Oregon is closing in on a record of consecutive days without the mercury recording a 100 degree temperature. A look at the local forecast calls for temperatures to remain in the upper 80s to around 90 through Thursday of next week.
According to forecaster Greg Roberts of Rogue Weather.com, if temperatures fail to reach 100 degrees by Sunday, it will be the second longest such streak in local history. Breaking the record may be a bit more of a challenge, as southern Oregon would need to keep the streak going through the 28th of August.
