Fire Burns Home on Rogue River Highway

Grants Pass firefighters took on a fire Wednesday afternoon at 1527 Rogue River Highway. A fire that started in the garage spread to the home and a 75-foot tree.

Fire crews also found themselves fighting small fires started by falling embers. The fire reported at 2:47 p.m. took nearly an hour to put out. There were no reports of injury and firefighters were successful in saving about half the residence.
