By Jim McCoy Fri 17th August NewsOregon State PoliceRalph Laurence Boles

The Oregon State Police is asking for the public’s help to find the next-of-kin for a deceased transient found in early July at a homeless camp. The body of 72-year old Ralph Laurence Boles was discovered July 10th.

Boles’ identity was confirmed through fingerprints. A back pack near his remains contained his retired military ID and Social Security card. A detective says Boles’ death does not appear to be suspicious.

Boles is believed to have been a transient since the 1970s. Along the way, he had contact with law enforcement in Idaho, Utah, Montana, California and Oregon.

Boles served in the air force from 1958 to 1961. Anyone with information is asked to call OSP Detective Jess Elzy at (541) 618-7956.
