AAA Report: Labor Day Travel To Increase
The AAA Auto Club is forecasting increased travel for the 2012 Labor Day weekend compared to 2011. That follows the same trend from other holiday periods thus far in the year.
According to those surveyed, 66 percent said their travel plans were not negatively impacted finances. Of 34 percent that said "yes," they said they would either plan shorter trips, or try to save money on lodging or food.
Labor Day weekend is viewed by most Americans as the last chance to take a summer trip before school starts. Many will visit friends and relatives, dine, or shop. Other activities will encompass sporting events, going to the beach, hiking or biking.
