A Grants Pass police officer was assaulted by a man who had created a disturbance at the local Wal-Mart. A second officer used a taser to subdue 54-year Chris Anthony, who had attacked the officer while trying to keep him under control.
Anthony had been throwing beer near the Wal-Mart entrance, and he pushed a store employee before leaving. Anthony was then spotted entering Arby’s while a Wal-Mart employee was contacting police. A struggled ensued when Anthony was told that he was not free to leave police as they were investigating the earlier incident.
