Klamath Falls Doctor May Come Home

By Jim McCoy Wed 17th October NewsimmigrationKlamath Falls news
A Klamath Falls doctor who left the country to visit relatives in the Republic of Maldives and was blocked from returning is expected to be home soon. Radio station KFLS reports the State Department has told Rep. Greg Walden that travel documents are being made available Wednesday for Dr. Mohamed Siyad and his family. In July, Siyad and his family went to the island nation in the Indian Ocean in July for what was supposed to be a two-week vacation. The Office of Homeland Security blocked the family's return. Officials at Sky Lakes Medical Center said they learned the FBI was doing what they called a name-verification process because Siyad's name is common in that part of the world.
