If you’re selling a home in Jackson County, there’s encouragement in a new report from the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors. In the most recent rolling quarter, the median price rose 11.6 percent to 174-thousand dollars. That’s up over 18-thousand dollars from this time last year.
Normal transactions comprised 60.8 percent of existing home sales as distressed sales and bank-owned homes decrease. REO properties made up 20.9 percent of existing home sales, short sales accounted for 17.8 percent. The median price on a normal transaction was $199,900, while short sales averaged $142,250.
The report also shows homes spending less time on the market (59 days), and inventory is down 32 percent from this time last year.
