The AAA auto club reports the average price of gasoline in Oregon is $3.53. That's down 8 cents in a week, 48 cents in a month, and it's 14 cents lower than a year ago. It's 11 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices from the AAA's Monday survey: Portland $3.50, Salem $3.52, Eugene-Springfield $3.53, and Medford-Ashland $3.52. AAA Public Affairs Director Marie Dodds says that all things being equal, the price of gas in Oregon could reach down into the $3.25 to $3.40 range.
