Medford CNG Station

By theDove TV Thu 6th December News
A commitment to alternative energy in southern Oregon is being seen in the opening of the largest compressed natural gas station in Oregon. A four pump station at the Rogue Valley Transportation Center will be used not only for city vehicles running on CNG, but also for private cars that have been adapted to run on natural gas. City and county officials attended the opening of the center and northwest natural gas association executive director Dan Kirschner says it's further indication of how Southern Oregon is embracing alternative fuels. While there aren't many refueling stations in place now for the various natural gas and electric vehicles, Kirschner says the growth of the industry makes the increased expansion 'unavoidable'.
