News - 'Fill The Truck' Drive - 10 Dec 12
The Salvation Army has teamed up with Walmart to help boost the number of toys for kids this Christmas Season. For several years the Salvation Army has had their familiar Kettle Drive outside the entrances of Walmart's to collect cash. This year they're also collecting toys that customers have purchased to donate as well. Medford Captain Martin Cooper says it's a boost for the toys they anticipate giving out this year to a minimum of 1500 families.
This is the 122nd year the Salvation Army has conducted the Kettle Campaign with a goal of raising $2,000,000 nationwide in addition to the toys for the 'Fill The Truck' effort.
