Bus Passenger Arrested For Disorderly Conduct In Douglas County

The Oregon State Police are reporting the arrest of a man who created a disturbance on a Greyhound bus last night at 10:34 p.m. four miles south of Rice Hill on Interstate 5. 36-year old Juan Antonio Avila of Denver, Colorado faces charges that include Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. Avila was reportedly found smoking and intoxicated on the bus stopped at milepost 144. He came at officers in a fighting stance as he exited the bus, refusing to obey verbal commands. Avila was handcuffed and restrained; no injuries were reported.
