A Medford man who raced away after a traffic stop was arrested on foot shortly after midnight on the Bear Creek Greenway. Police did not initially pursue 25-year old Chase Best, who sped away at 11:51 p.m. from near the corner of Main and Cottage, and headed south, reportedly turning off his lights.
Best later abandoned his car near the corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Highland Drive, and headed towards Bear Creek Park. He was apprehended on the Bear Creek Greenway near Willamette. Best is also facing charges of possessing methamphetamine and a parole violation.
