Statistics Report From Super Bowl on Oregon Road Fatalities & Drunk Driving
The Oregon State Police say two died on Oregon roads during Super Bowl weekend. Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in one Sunday night crash that killed an 80-year old man on highway 213 in Clackamas County.
Last year at this time, three people died in Oregon traffic accidents on Super Bowl weekend. 30 drivers were arrested for drunk driving, down 38 percent from the same weekend in 2012. 6 were arrested in the Grants Pass area, 4 were reported out of the Central Point command office, as well as the Klamath Falls command.
