Mussel Harvesting To Resume On Southern Oregon Coast

Oregon agricultural and wildlife officials have lifted a five-month ban on mussel harvesting in Southern Oregon. The Salem Statesman Journal reports officials with the Oregon Department of Agriculture and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife decided the levels of paralytic shellfish toxins are below "alert" levels. The ban was in effect from Cape Arago 14 miles south of Coos Bay to the California border. It went into effect on Oct. 18. Associated Press
