By Jim McCoy Mon 18th March NewsarsonLouis Darnell Walls
A man who accused his ex-wife of assaulting him Sunday is now in jail for initiating a false report, violating a restraining order, and arson. The trouble all started at 8:02 a.m., when 47-year old Louis Darnell Walls called police and said his former spouse assaulted him with help from a male accomplice. 20 minutes later, firefighters were called to a fire at an apartment complex on Barnett Road, and arson was the suspected cause. It turns out the fire was started outside an apartment where Walls’ ex-wife lived. While interviewing with police, the estranged wife said she had a restraining order on her former husband. After a detailed investigation, Walls was arrested and is now in Jackson County Jail on $3 million dollars bail.
