Medford firefighters responded to a call at 10:09 a.m. Monday night from an east Medford home. Home owners became suspicious when a computer made a weird noise and suddenly shut off. After searching their home, they discovered a fire in the garage. After unsuccessfully trying to extinguish it, they called 911. When crews arrived, they found the fire spread to the attic. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was injured. Unfortunately, there was no smoke alarm in the home. The fire’s cause is being investigated.
