Suspect In Theft of Historic Gold Turns Himself In

49-year old David Dean Johnson of El Cerrito, California has turned himself in as one of the suspects in the theft of historic gold from the Siskiyou County Courthouse in Yreka. Police accuse Johnson and another suspect, 51-year old Scott Wayne Bailey of El Sobrante, California of taking over a million dollars worth of gold on the morning of January 31, 2012. None of the stolen gold has been recovered. Bailey is still at large. A $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Bailey's capture. The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation.
