A Monday morning car chase has landed two men in jail. At 2:45 a.m., 22-year old Rodney Gorneau refused to stop for a Central Point Police officer after he attempted to pull over Gourneau for disobeying a stop sign. The pursuit began north of Central Point near the intersection of Kirtland and Highbanks roads. As it continued, spike strips were deployed to stop the GMC pick-up truck. After traveling along Biddle Road in Medford, Gorneau headed north on I-5 and crashed into a ditch after losing control near exit 45 south of Rogue River. A K-9 team was put into action to find Gorneau and his passenger, 19-year old Blake Wallace. The two were found and arrested. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier from Heritage Motors in Medford.
