Opponents of GMO foods will rally in downtown Medford tomorrow (Saturday)in a campaign known as "March Against Monsanto." It will get underway at 10:30 at Vogel Plaza near the Ginger Rogers Craterian Theater in downtown Medford and will conclude at Alba Park. The March will start at 11 a.m. Music and speakers will make presentations upon arrival at the march's destination.
Organizers say they want to protect the Rogue Valley against what they call "GMO contamination." They contend GMOs have not been safely tested for human consumption. A concern is also expressed that "nearly 70-percent of the world's seed sources are owned by Monsanto, Syngenta and Dupont.
