Johnson Rock Products of Coos Bay will begin work June 11th to make improvements to the Natural Bridge Recreation Day Use Site on Highway 62, one mile south of the Union Creek Resort. The U.S. Forest Service announced the project today, that will improve the deteriorating condition of the wood deck on the trail bridge and the overlook structure. Both are part of the Natural Bridge interpretive trail. The bridge, overlook structure and associated trail segment will be closed while the work is being done. The project is expected to be complete by June 21st, though things like weather conditions could cause the project to take longer.
