Southern Oregon leaders broke ground today for the newly consolidated, 86,000 square foot Jackson County Health facility, being built in downtown Medford at the corner of 8th and Ivy. The building will bring together all of Health and Human Services, excluding Animal Control.
Officials hail this as a move that will make for greater public convenience, with its access to the downtown area. They say it will also offer more efficiency, with a shared intake, making for greater coordination. The project also includes a new parking garage with 400 spaces for staff and clients.
Ogden, Roemer and Wilkerson of Medford is architect for the project. JE Dunn Construction is builder for the facility.
