Without Rain in the forecast containment for a number of wildfires in Oregon seem far off. The Smoky conditions can be expected to continue for some time as firefighters work on 7-blazes, mostly in Southern Oregon. The biggest fire is the Douglas Complex fire now at over 25-Thousand acres. But because of steep terrain Tom Lavagnino of the Rogue River National Forest says even the 17-hundred acre Labrador Fire Will Grow.
Some residents have been evacuated from fire areas, and even those miles from the fire line have been impacted, like Lake Selmac Resort owner Colin Clark who says it's cut into his summer business significantly. He expects the loss of tourist dollars to run into the thousands of dollars.
For those with questions about the fire a town hall is being held tonight at 7 PM at the county building in Cave Junction
