News - Crater Lake Water

By admin Mon 5th August News
Though water rights concerns between Indian Tribes ans Southern Oregon Farmers and Ranchers remains unresolved in Southern Oregon, water supplies are not expected to be a problem at Crater Lake. The National Park is dependent on snow pack levels and during peak tourist summer months they've had to truck in water. This year the Oregon Water Resources Commission has granted them additional water which helps because the park's Marsh McCabe says their water supply is less than predicable. To Help reduce water needs at the National Park low flow faucets and toilets are being installed with water being provided int eh restaurant only for those who request it.
