If you're travelling this holiday weekend you might like to know you'll be joining around 34 million travelers in the United States doing the same. In the Northwest United Sates Traffic is expected to increase more than 5 and a half percent over last year. To help insure that the roads are safe the Oregon Highway Patrol will be cruising in both marked and unmarked cars. Trooper Bill Matson says added cars on the road could increase driver emotions.
Matson says it's good to plan ahead for your trip this weekend as most traffic tickets are handed out for speeding because of motorists in a rush to get to their destination.
