A paraglider was injured Monday morning when he plummeted about 100 feet to the beach on the central Oregon coast.
KGW-TV reports http://bit.ly/15Qr448 the man was alert when paramedics arrived, and he was taken to the hospital.
The paraglider launched from a cliff above Alsea Bay near Waldport. Witnesses told the station a gust of wind knocked him into the cliff side and a tree. He was not immediately identified.
