A plea to pass a bill allowing forests to be harvested for local revenue has been endorsed by an Oregon Congressman. Speaking on the House Floor, Republican Greg Walden says the Bill would help rural counties financially during tough economic times where three fourths of all Oregon mills have closed in the past three decades along with 30 thousand jobs. Walden says up to 3-thousand jobs could be saved with passage of house bill 15-26 and would generate 120-million dollars per year in County Revenue
