A Weekend Southern Oregon Search Crews Won't Soon Forget

By Jim McCoy Mon 28th October NewsMt. McLaughlinsearch and rescue
It was a weekend to remember for search and rescue crews from Jackson, Klamath, Siskiyou and Josephine counties. Over 50 volunteers set out to find three groups of hikers who had all become lost. All were found alive and uninjured. The sheriff’s department is reminding hikers to allow five hours to hike the mountain, to be sure to call 9-1-1 immediately if you’re lost and stay put. Make sure you also have adequate food, water and clothing, and notify friends or family when you expect to return.
