Police Seize Two Pounds of Meth From Bus Traveler

Wednesday, the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team (MADGE) acting on a tip seized approximately two pounds of methamphetamine from luggage discovered on a bus traveling through Phoenix. The bus was traveling north from Southern California. The bag was seized after an alert by a drug detection K9 and secured while the investigators obtained a search warrant. Investigators are working on identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the bag. The I-5 corridor is frequently used by drug traffickers as a route from California to the Northwest utilizing all modes of travel including buses. This case remains under investigation.
