The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is participating in the statewide DUII high visibility events that commenced last Friday the 13th and runs through Thursday, January 2, 2014. Within this time frame, the weekend of the 27th/28th, the Sheriff’s Office will be teaming with other local law enforcement agencies, such as the Oregon State Police and the Medford Police Department to saturate the roadways in search of DUII drivers. Most of the officers will be on special DUII grant overtime and not be taken away from the normal patrol functions being conducted. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reminding everybody to be responsible this holiday season. Have a designated driver or take a cab if you plan on drinking alcohol.
