An Eagle Point man was ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution to the state for poaching more than two dozen deer and elk. The Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1mcPuDc ) it's believed to be the highest restitution ever levied in a southern Oregon wildlife case. At his sentencing Wednesday in Medford, Charles Douglas Cochran also was ordered to spend 60 days in jail on a number of charges that were folded into a plea agreement. He pleaded guilty to 13 charges including the theft of more than $10,000 worth of electronics from Eagle Point High School in December.
