This weekend's weather will bring an abundance of rain, high winds in some areas, and flooding on the Coquille River. The NOAA/NWS Medford office says levels will rise rapidly at Lost Creek and Applegate reservoirs.
Snow levels are expected to remain above pass levels, but will dip into the 5500 to 6000 elevation range through this evening. The levels are expected to rise again tonight (Friday.)
According to weather.com, Medford has received 1.29 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, as of 12 p.m. As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Medford had received 6.86 inches of rain since the water year began September 1st. The average to date is 11.57 inches.
The stormy weather has been warm enough that it has not helped conditions at Mount Ashland. As of this afternoon, the ski area only has a snow depth of 4-6 inches.
