Drug Runner Caught With Over 100 lbs. Of Pot

A Portland man was caught carrying 117 pounds of marijuana in his SUV yesterday. At approximately 12:51 p.m., an Oregon state trooper stopped 31-year old Paul William Houfek traveling along Highway 140 near milepost 95 for a speed violation. A drug detection dog found the pot inside a locked gun safe in 94 individually sealed packages. The marijuana was valued at $290,000. Houfekwas arrested and is lodged in Lake County Jail.
