Sheriff's Department Conducts Dry Dock Inspections This Saturday

In preparation for the upcoming boating season, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol is holding its annual "Dry Dock" inspections at the Search and Rescue building, located at 620 Antelope Road, in White City. Inspections will take place the next two weekends, Saturday, March 22, 2014 and Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm as well as Saturday, March 29, 2014 and Sunday March 30, 2014. Boaters in Jackson County will have an opportunity to have their boats inspected prior to the start of the season. Owners are encouraged to have current registration, all of their safety gear, including life jackets, fire extinguishers, etc in place at the time of the inspection. Upon successful completion of the inspection, this year’s safety inspection decal will be affixed to the rear of the boat.
